From the North to the Tropics
We are a design duo (Hanna & Salla) who studied fashion design in Finland. Halla Halla started from our shared passion for the ocean and bold swimwear.
We spent many years in the beautiful but cold Finland and then traveled the world to surf, enjoy the sun, and explore different cultures. We wanted to spread the sunshine and happiness we have gained from our experiences to different places around the world as well as to share our passion for sustainability and mind-blowing designs. This is how Halla Halla was born and we can proudly say we are the first sustainable swimwear brand in Finland.
All our items are eco-friendly and feature one of a kind prints and color combinations. Our swimwear is suitable from surfing to sunbathing, you name it. Halla Halla styles are versatile and every hun can find their perfect fit. Life is too short for boring swimwear so join us and stand out like never before.
Halla Halla ethically made sustainable swimwear
For us, helping keep the oceans clean and seeing the marine life thrive is the passion and purpose in life. Our swimwear is made from regenerated nylon which is made by recovering nylon waste such as fishing nets from the oceans and other discarded waste. It is then manufactured into high quality nylon material.
All our items are manufactured ethically in the most magical island of Bali, at a local factory. We wanted to ensure that the factory we chose to produce our swimwear in matched our values. We researched several different options in Bali and hand selected our factory due to their morally and ethically responsible and sustainable practices.
We are super happy with the factory that we have worked with for years. We visit the factory on a regular basis and value the staff greatly. All our sewing staff are well-paid, and they work in good conditions. It is great that we can provide work for the local Balinese people: we love our Bali team!
Halla Halla is an ethically responsible business in all stages of our production cycle. This has been important to us since our inception and we continue to make sure that all the parties we work with align with our core values of sustainable and ethical practices.
Because we aim to be a sustainable company through our packaging, products, and our production, we only produce a limited quantity at a time. We chose to produce only a specific amount to reduce waste during excess production and surplus products.
In addition to making our products ethically and from sustainable materials, we wanted to make them fun by designing unique prints and vibrant colors.
